It was in 1997 when Mr. Ashford met Mr. John Moss, who placed confidence and decided to support him with the purchase of the first land where the shipyard is currently located in the port city of La Ceiba, starting operations with a lot of discipline and work.
In the year of 1,998 when Mr. Ashford Hommer Bodden and Mrs. Bryn Joy Moss identified the need that existed for all boat owners to have on the Honduran coast a company that offered maintenance and repair services to vessels that were dedicated to any type of commercial activity , since those existing on the island of Roatan did not work continuously or offer all the services they required, hence they decide to establish themselves as a limited liability company under the name of A and B Marine S de RL with the objective of providing the services of fairing, painting, repair of marine clutches and navigation systems.
At the end of the year 1,999 the company A and B Marine considered that it had a sufficient demand for products and services for which it needed to expand its operations but not having enough working capital, then the need arises to resort to the search for new partners in order to attract new investment and expand its areas of operation and services.
In the year 2,000, the new partners Mayra Henriquez, Raul Leva and Samuel Edgardo Casco join the company A and B Marine S de R.L. and then form the company called EMPRESA DE MANTENIMIENTO Y SERVICIOS MARITIMOS also known as EAGLE MARINE, S.A.
